Q. Do your air purification systems meet OSHA codes?
A. We always stay current with OSHA regulations. We guarantee that any equipment we sell and/or install will meet or exceed all current federal guidelines.
Q. Can I mix metals in a dust collector?
A. Sometimes yes, but more often than not no. The National Fire Protection Association writes the guidelines for the safe collection of all dusts. Call us to discuss the types of dust you need to collect safely.
Q. Why is the NFPA involved in this process?
A. Many dusts are volatile and explosive. Aluminum, titanium and magnesium are just a few of the worst offenders. We always follow NFPA guideline to protect your workers and facility.
Q. Why should we purify the dirty air from a process and return it to the plant instead of just exhausting the contaminated air?
A. Every CFM of air you exhaust from you facility cost you money in the form of heating and cooling energy dollars. The annual costs can be staggering to your bottom line. Exhausting plant air also causes negative air issues in the plant that can affect many other processes in the plant. Also, the EPA is cracking down on what types of contaminants you can exhaust.
Q. If I choose to purify and re-circulate the air to the plant, how often do I have to change filters, and what does that cost?
A. That all depends on the amount of contaminant in the air stream and the type of equipment. Most of the new equipment we provide has a self cleaning option ( using your plant compressed air ) which drastically reduces maintenance time and filters costs. We are always available to assess your particular needs.
