This central welding fume exhaust system was installed by Total Clean technologies in November of 2005.
The system operates with state of the art technology to minimize tempered indoor air loss by having each
operator control the exhaust of the fume arm with an individual hood mounted damper. When the
operator opens the damper, a speed control runs the motor/blower at a sufficient CFM to supply the
needed exhaust air and no more. This minimizes indoor air loss and negates negative air pressure while
still providing ample exhaust CFM to protect the workers breathing zone.
